TNT Test Drive
Revo TNT Test Drive
Spent about 1/2 hour tonight playing. This is a very strong tune. Test run #1 was sw9 w/ shift defuel stock, TQ mngt #4, timing #2, RP #2. Didn't look at a single gauge - too busy watching the road. SOTP says I'm running low 12s. Run #2 was same settings and glancing at the boost gauge, RP gauge, and out the rear view. Smoke never cleared to 100mph. Run #3 was same settings with MP8 on about 75%. RP maxed about 25k and stayed about 20k. Run #4 switched the shift defuel off and RP to #3 and turned the mp8 back off. Run #5 turned the mp8 to 100% and it pegged the gauge and then held about 25k. Run #6 I finally got the courage to watch egts as it is above the rear view and not on the A-pillar. Hit about 1700 and then fell off to 1600. It's a good thing my MPI kit is shipping tomorrow.
2 questions.
#1. Timing number 2 is added timing over number 1 (stock) - correct? So number 2 is the highest timing available? I got no rattle at all and was wishing I could have added a little more timing to see how it acted.
#2. I thought that the download when switching settings was suppose to be fast? It took just as long as a normal download.

#2 Its not anyfaster you just dont have to go to the site to get different timing and what-not.
Now from what I gathered from the reading to get the most timing advance was to set it to default (0) and pick a odd numbered setting. I thought it was a little cornfusing myself but I am pretty stupid so I just figured it was me.
Right. Which is aftermarket injectors. Which is less timing that was available with the 4.11 and less than available with the standard Revo. I love the TNT tune, but wonder if I could pick up even a little more power with some additional timing. And for those of you who will suggest it, I will NOT put a TST on my truck.
If I install mine the truck starts actin stupid according to the shop in Nixa, mo. I havnt stuck mine back on yet to see for myself. I keep breakin stuff (self-inflicted) before I get to drive the truck for any length of time.

I have very little smoke, but the thing pulls like crazy on the big end
on std revo, #4 is the most timing for economy, on tnt files its the least... .for huge nos doses.....
i beleve #0 and odd software gets the most out of tnt
but im not %100 on that....
I've heard WAY too many problems caused by the TST and poor service when problems arise as well. Besides, it's ugly. I prefer trouble free and great customer service.
I don't really need it anyway. I only ever wanted to hit 600hp and I'm well beyond that. Just need to get my MPIs installed to get my towing surge issue taken care of and I'm good. That should put me close to 700hp and I don't intend to go for more.
