Tim Barber hits 970 H.P. with his 04'!

I just heard from a buddy that Tim Barber hit 970 H.P. with his 2004 Dodge CTD CR tonight with that new Smarty TNT/R Programmer and all of the other "bells and whistles" he has on that rocketship!

Tim, Don, give us a report guys.............................................. ...

Thanks!

It was an 1100 HP run cut short by an exploding turbo. The graphs will follow soon. Tim had get a tow truck home.

Tim still had the TNT/R tune and had not tried the REVO yet. This was the first run of the night and no tuning had even started. Just a shake down run and blam!!

The graph a few weeks back was 160 HP lower at the same power RPM range this one was cut off at. Using a little math tells us it was 1100 going down when disaster struck.

Don:

Thanks for the report buddy! I hope I didn't "jump the gun" on you guys!

I just got off the phone with Tim and he said the truck sounded GREAT until that turbo let go! He said he actually had a 975 H.P. reading before the turbo
blew. No doubt about it, Tim is hard on the equipment!

You didnt jump the gun John. Your right, Tim is hard on stuff.

Tim hopes the get the graphs up tonight. I think it was going to be closer to 1025 HP after closer review. There was a TST in the mix with the Smarty. It was on level 2/0. LOL

Thanks Don! Those numbers are amazing though considering he was no higher on the settings than he was and the run ended so quickly and I have no doubt he would have been over 1,000 H.P.!

No doubt about it Don, the CR trucks are taking the lead in diesel performance now! I guess I am going to have sell my "smoky old 96' 12 valve!"

Lsufan:

To my knowledge, I think Tim now has the highest #2 diesel H.P. run with a Dodge CTD CR. I think Lloyd Mills recently went 901 on #2 also. There are several CR Dodges that have gone over 1,200 on #2 PLUS Nitrous. I know that back at the "Fall Brawl" Rally, Tim laid down 875 H.P. on just #2 with his newer 2006 Dodge CTD CR and that was the high #2 run for that event.

You are very welcome Sir! I am sure Don, Tim and Lloyd will be in here and can verify some of these "highest numbers" on #2 and #2+NOS for the CR trucks over the past year or so. But your right,........ it is "nuts!"
