I finally got it out. I did the screw driver trick too, but I used a grinder and grinded a screw driver down real skinny then bent it and put a hook on it, then got ahold of the ring and worked it to where I could get another screwdriver in there. It all depends on what position the snap ring is in. My buddies 01 was easy cause the snap ring was in the 6 0clock position. Mine was in the 3 oclock position so it was a *****

After taking mine off,, Im wondering why I went through the trouble,,,Very little change in sound.
