Is there a 5" exhaust that bolts directly to the turbo?

I currently run a Banks downpipe which eliminated my stock turbo elbow. I don't want to put it back on because it goes from 4" down to 3.5". Is there an exhaust that goes all the way up to the turbo instead of just the elbow?

At our recent dyno day I was almost embarrased by how quiet my truck was. I thought it sounded pretty good until I get around a bunch of trucks that actually do sound good. I guess you could call it a "Sleeper" but I'm ready for it to be a bit louder without straight piping it....

Well, I made my own 4" exhaust. I guess I could make it 5" right after the downpipe. All I'd need to do is buy any of the 5" systems out there and cut the downpipe off and fit it to my DP with a 5" to 4" reducer... Sounds easy enough.....

So you are saying that you pulled the elbow off the back of the turbo and the Magnaflow DP bolted directly to the turbo???

And Megamouths are for 2nd gens Mikmaze......

I don't have a problem splicing a 5" system into my downpipe. Just thought if I could get a system that attachs to the turbo itself I could sell the DP and recoup some of the cost. That Banks DP wasn't cheap! I hate to cut it up but.....

I saw a 6" exhaust for sale today.........Holy cow!!!!!!

If I could just get my hands on an 05 or 06 elbow that would solve my problem. They are 4" in and out....

Dodgezilla, find someone with an 04.5+ truck that installed an exhaust brake and get their old cast elbow, then you can get any turbo back system for an 04.5+ truck. The 04.5+ cast elbows are 4" inlet and outlet, whereas the 03/04 elbows are 4" inlet, 3.5" outlet

5" MBRP Turbo back

I just put on a 5" MBRP Turbo Back system last weekend. I upgraded the stock 3.5" elbow to a 4" off an 06 that just got an exhaust brake as mentioned above. It's 4" off the elbow for about 12" then converts to 5" to after it clears the frame.
Sweet system, 45 minute install, sounds like a big rig with way more turbo whistle. My friends don't say much when I rev it up but their grins sure do get big.

I've got picks of the stock system side by side with the 5" but it won't let me post them. Do I have to have a certain amount of posts before I can post pics?

If anyone is interested in th epics they can PM me with an address.

Here is a pic of mine. It goes to 5" right after the elbow as you can see in the pic.

Most exhausts are designed to be installed in someone's driveway (or so I've been told by a couple of vendors).

Due to this they typically have a 4" downpipe on most 5" exhausts. To me, that seems pretty lame. If I want 5", I want 5" from the turbo back.

Flow Pro and Magnaflow are the only companies I've heard of that offer true 5" from the turbo back.

Maybe there are others but I have not found them.

The outlet of the turbo is only 4" so you are restricted by that regardless of the DP size...
