Testing the TAG...
could someone re-state exactly what the practical, realizable, and measureable benefit is to the TAG when utilized in the majority of driving conditions? when (under what conditions) do the benefits appear and what is the magnatude of such benefit?
I remember seeing a post on EGTs -- are we talking a repeatable and measureable EGT reduction? HP improvement, or what?

First of all not all trucks react the same and driving habits and modifactions to the truck also play a roll in TAG performance. Generally speaking most every one notices quicker spools and smoother running. You can read a little more on the Dodge portion of this page http://www.dieselpowerproducts.com/tag If you are looking for big dyno numbers forget it, the TAG will yield a little, but it is not a chip. Here is a thread with an actual dyno for the Dodge and other information http://www.turbodieselregister.com/f...threadid=96788
Some talk about the reduction of emissions using the TAG, while others are interested in mileage and towing capability. For the most part empty mileage increase are small if at all, but many have expressed mileage increases in towing when the turbo actually working. EGT reduction is usually seen under high load conditions or wide open throttle, but has also been reported when cruising.
Results with the TAG do very, that is why we simply say if you try the TAG and don't like what it does, simply return it for a refund.

I installed my AFE Torque Tube this weekend with my TAG, Here is how I found the best way to intall it without having the TAG flopping around inside the tube, getting lodged sideways, etc. The lower elbow should be mounted first with a clamp on the turbo. Then slide the TAG inside the tube with the rubber o-ring towards the turbo. Take an extra hose clamp and slide it over the elbow after the TAG. Use your hand to get the TAG up as tight as possible against the turbo. Then slide the clamp as far forward as possible after the TAG on the outside of the tube. Tigthen the clamp onto the tube but not too tight, just enough to keep the TAG in place and you're set. Then install the rest of the torque tube. It made a huge difference in sound which I could go without but I can really can feel the difference in the spool up and there is a little bit of difference in EGT's. It is worth the time and $$$ and it runs great.
Good guarantee
