Sylvania Ultra silverstars ?
I too have swithed to the Silverstars. Both headlights and foglights. If you change the foglights, you need to change the headlights too. There is a big difference in the way they look compared to the stock bulbs. The Silverstars are a white light. I personally can see better. Very good upgrade.

I have the Silverstar Ultras in the headlights and foglights combined with the Fogzilla Brite Box in both of our trucks. They put a lot of light on the road and when you hit the brights it is like daylight down the road. I had the regular Silverstars in there for two years prior to the Ultras and they were still good when I switched them out.
Example as per the Sylvania site. Reg 9006 rated 1000 hrs, 9006LL 1500 hrs, Silverstars are rated for 150 hrs. That sucks in my opinion. And yes I did try them and I had 2 fail in 6 weeks (remember I drive a lot), and no I did not contaminate them by touching them.
I ran Silverstars in my headlights for several years with no issues. But down below in the foglights I lost one in about 8 months, my guess is due to the vibrations.
Now I'm running GE Nighthawks in the headlights and cheap 9005 bulbs in the foglights.

down the road.I think the stock headlights suck big time.I added the PIAA headlight bulbs about 2-3 years ago, they help some but not a great improvement over stock bulbs.I added PIAA 80XT fogs that trun the road into daylight on country back roads but I cannot run them on the main road way to bright for on coming traffic.coobie
