Surprised Two And Myself

I was in tow with trailer and car (around #7000).Couple of boys in new Challenger were beside me and gave a thumbs up for my Challenger. Came to a stop light. Light turned green and we both took off, I just rolled on the throttle to keep up with them, not real aggressive. Anyway my rear tires broke loose and spun a few times. Came up to the next light, they asked how much hp my car had and then how much the truck had, know how much the car has, but not the truck. They were impressed/shocked with my truck spinning the tires on a roll, (we were going around 10-15 mph) while towing.

If I wasn't towing, a race would of happened. That would of been interesting.

yea sometimes the amount of torque these motors produce catches ya off guard. even driving somewhat conservative i still manage to break my tires loose.

If you dont mind me asking how much is the 572 making ?

920 @ 6500. Engine dyno with 2" headers (primary tubes) and no time left for any tuning, timing set at 34. I had some real luck with this motor on the dyno. !st time out, shop didn't have headers to fit STAGE V heads, so went to TTI (a few miles down the freeway) and bought their flanges, took back to dyno shop to adapt. 2nd time lost oil press. within 25 sec. of fire up, installed restrictors. 3rd time had the vacuum pump reversed and blew oil pan gasket. I almost gave up dynoing this. Driving 45 miles out, getting charged just to hook up the thing only to find another hurdle. After the gasket just gave and blew oil all over (both our faults), I went out to cool off and it hit me-I had the dyno all day. I went to local parts store bought new gasket and 'right stuff' (quik cure time) while a friend cleaned and pulled pan. I had time for a couple pulls before it had to come off the test stand.

I'm pretty sure more could of been found. I run TTI's 2 1/4" header so that should give me at least another 20. I've changed jets and have gained better et's same as timing. It does depend on weather as I'm sure ya know.

It's cooling back down now, it's time to go back out and play. I don't race in any class/brkt. Just for the rush and see how quick, adj. the bar til the next time out.

As I was reading your post, I was thinking you had a remake of this...

I forgot about those com. Wouldn't it be sweet if there was com. about the CDT's smokin' a street car?? There are some here that would probably be faster than my car if the wieghts were corrected/even.

What's the weight of the CDT that's in the 9's now???

The other night at work, I got a wild hair thinking of selling the Challenger and buying another truck to seriously mod out.
