Cool, thanks for the help guys...
The only problem with the BDS was the 6" lift, vs me wanting only 4-4.5", since im not going any larger than 35s...(that and my short girlfriend probably wont appreciate it either)

Superlift coils suck. My coils first only gave me like 3.5" of lift(insted of 4") and have now sagged another .5" and they are only 1yr old 15k. I'm in the process of getting a quote of custom 4" or 4.5" coils from CSS to run with my bilstiens. Maybe Kings in the future (as cash allows)

Hey DJ,

When you gonna get Don to build you some long arms?

Or what's your plan as far as long arms? Cuz I'm gonna follow your lead on that one.

Long arms are next on the agenda. Don and I were talking about me driving out to Kommifornia to see him for a few days next month, I don't know if it's still possible or not but that has been the plan for a couple of months now. It's going to be a LONG freaking drive, but it may be the only way we can get some awesome long arms for these 3rd gens. Once he cuts up my truck and gets some fabbed up, everybody else can just call him and order up a set.

Hopefully we'll have something before the new year.

There is already one long arm kit out, but it's almost $1000. The brackets alone were over $500. And the arms are not that impressive. Don will come up with something amazing and it will be much less expensive. The nice thing about his stuff is that it will be able to handle however much lift you want.

Hey I have seen alot longer then stock arms and links on 2nd gens and I know how to fab but I've read that's its not good to weld to our hydro formed frames. I dont like the idea of bolt on link attachments for a custom long arm set up.

Is there a safe way to weld these frames.

I like the idea of long arms if I needes taller tires and a taller lift. It sounds like BDS is a good set up if you need a 6" lift, just as long as it is still able to ralley around like similar lifts.

My only complaint so far is that I could now use a rear sway bar since DC decided us 3rd gens didnt need them and it really needs them once you lift it and need to do a high speed lane change.

I will let you know if my superlift coils start to sag. Its only been on for 10K

There is a safe way to weld on the frame...I have done it "many" times.

I believe the shop manual discusses it in detail. It is just basically a thin wall tube...most qualified/talented welders should have no problem.

What kind of shocks come with the BDS? and are they nice or upgradeable....

I now remember looking at BDS before I bought my Superlift but since they didnt make a 4.5" they got passed up...

No real mystery why he was so popular on the other site.
