Stock injectors/CP3 enough?

Let's say that I was going to tow approx 10-14K, turn the Puck on the low setting (60hp) and the Edge on level 2, do you think that the stock fuel system would spool a HTT Silver 62/13 to keep my EGTs down in the mountains? Let's hear it gurus!

A buddy of mine just put a 62/12 on a guys truck, stock one went bad. said it was a tad laggy stock but it did run better when got above 2000rpms, with stock fueling. Put a 65hp quad on it and it does fine ,runs a pulls good.

If you weren't towing, I'd say yes, but you are...I wish I could help you but I don't tow.
Stock injectors and cp3 ought to be enough but do you have a better fuel pump than stock?

Seems like with a little timing/duration provided from my Edge and a pressure box like my Puck, I will be lookin pretty good for spooling it...that's great! I need to keep these EGTs in check. Trik396, I am still on the stock lift pump, but I can get one at some point...they aren't that expensive...

You wont have any problems spooling that turbo,, but egt's could be an issue... just have to watch it and see

So you're saying that I might go from slightly higher egts (approx 1250-1400 while towing 10K on grades) with Puck off and Edge on 1 to slightly higher EGTs (about the same) with upgraded fuel and a Silver 62? Why even waste the money when I can just turn things down and slow down?

That is a tough question, as to how much egt's would drop. But you should be ok with what you have, you will just have to pay attention closely

This is the kind of stuff that I like to hear and one of the MAIN reasons that I came aboard this forum...there are SO many people that just run out and blindly buy something without asking questions from the people that actually KNOW first hand (such as a dealer who WANTS you to spend your money) and find out the hard way that they wasted their money. I appreciate it Kevin...that's a couple thousand that can stay in my pocket...at least for the time being

With my current stack my temps stay nice and cool, even towing. But I haven't towed with the Predator higher than the Tow setting. Guys with similar mods to mine minus the 62/12 turbo are seeing EGTs of about 2-300 degrees higher. I would say my turbo is working for me.......

I still hold good fuel pressure too, even while towing...

So your 62/12 lowered your temps by 2-300 degrees? That is pretty substantial...cheaper than the Silver 62/13 too...hmmm

Only cause i'm curious. The above quote raises a question for. Why did you buy a 4" exhaust when your turck came from the factory with SS 4" exhaust?

1.) It is T-304 Stainless steel rather than aluminum.

2.) It looks MUCH better

3.) It sounds better than stock with just a muffler

and the fourth reason, I will just not mention since it's "against the rules"...but it's TURBO back...that's your only hint...
