Stock 06 does 526/1027 with EFILive
I'm kinda new to the efi live thing. It appears all sorts of folks put out tunes for it. Sooo...do you write your own (like I know wth I'm doing), or do you pick one? If you pick, who writes these for heavy haulers (26k+) and not racers?
You can get a tune then tweak it for your truck. Infinitely adjustable. Or you can find a good local shop to live tune. The last option is to buy one, get some datalogging done, call them up and tell them how you felt about it then they would tweak the tune and email you a new one.
Good tuners are out there. A local performance shop owner got his completely stock 05 to hang with p-pumped 24v pullers. Also he was hitting 5200rpms at the start. Sure is a different sound...

5200! Phew. Like I said I'm not a racer. I have a 41' toyhaualer though that pushes a 28k combo at times. Wish I had a bit more umph going down the highway. Seems to lug on hills rather than upshift, then runs hot of course. If I manually kick it down she's a beast. Could use some better trans logic too of course. Might have to keep my eye on these. Would be cheaper than 4.10's I've been mulling around.
That sounds like an awesome product. I have all the faith that the Cummins will handle this kind of power for a long time in each application. What I do not have faith in is the rest of the drivetrain. I have already pulled the clutch out of mine with my Smarty set on SW2 and the trailer wieghing about 4500
