Still white smoke!

I posted awile back that i was having a problem with white smoke after the truck has been running awile at idle. Everyone semed to think it was the lift pump so i changed it out with Glacier Diesels kit. I have no fuel pressure problems now but the truck still smokes at idle sometimes bad somtimes not as bad and thats stock. When i tred runing it with my puck on it seams to be worse but it dose it with it on or off. Its been to the dealer three times and all they did was reflash the ECM ....helped nothing. I hear that the injectors can crack could that be it?

Check and see if you smell fuel in your oil and if the oil level is up. Also if the oil level is down a little check to see if you have a bad seal in your turbo and oil is making its way to the engine.

I would say injectors. I have white smoke now as well, and this is the third event. Both previous time it had been the injectors, she is going into the doctor now to have a DRB put on her to find the bad arrow this time. I have used spares that I have been throwing in since the warranty expired 40k ago. Hopefully these will get me by till I get a set to DonM for some reconditioning work and F1 tips. But if I were a betting man, I would deffinetly say injector related.

I had white smoke (really bad on cold startup) and it never went away. I had 3 DESTROYED injectors. Changed them and no smoke at all!

what do you mean, never went away? Like, it would smoke ever when warmed up? I mean, my truck smokes white like every other car out there at start-up whens it cold and goes away as soon as it starts warming up.

Yeah, even after it was warm, it ALWAYS had white smoke; because of the injectors.

white smoke

I ended up changing out 7 injectors b-4 my smoke problem went away. Even one of the new ones was bad. No problem since but I run Power Service everyother fillup, and I changed my filter from the stock 10micron to 2 micron.
