Still having problems!!
A while back I posted about loosing power on top end. A few posted maybe the lift pump was going out so I put in GDP-392 kit. Towed my 5er the other day and still having the same problem. It almost seems like it shifts into OD to soon and then lugs real bad. It seems real flat on the top end and boost the highest I can see is 32lbs no matter what my Smarty is on or stock its only 32lbs. Let me remind you this happened the first when I was pulling my trailer up a 9% grade and I felt it happen it lost power. No noises no differences taht I could see on the gauge other than boost. Cleaned air filter, changed fuel filter, pulled boost fooler off, checked for boost leaks the best I know how. If anybody has any good ideas on how to look for boost leaks I could try that. The only other thing I have noticed truck seems tdo run a little hotter right now(205-210 when pulling hard) but it is summer.

Thats all the higher boost I can get out of mine! They will run hotter too when pulling a load, especially with higher ambient temps. As for the lack of power. Like how much power loss ? Starting at what rpm? Starting at what speed? If you run with OD off, does it do it as well?
my HTS does the same thing when pulling a load it will bark the turbo going into over drive. you said that you took the boost fooler off? stoc you are only going to see 32 psi at peak then backing back down to 28 psi or so cause thats where the waste gate opens. the smarty wont change what your peak bosst pressure is only the boost fooler will do that i see 42 with my stock turbo and my juice. are you pulling with the tow/haul mode on? do you have a transmission temp sensor? and i'm guessing still stock TQ convertor? i'm wondering if you tranny isn't heating up and the TC isn't slipping! what level are you running the smarty on?
I have built tranny with gauges and an aftermarket turbo which used to hit 40lbs all the time. Tranny temps are in normal range. When this first happened I was driving down the road and felt the power loss and hasnt been the same since.
I have a similar problem, but can't get more than 24 PSI boost. Seems that I can't fuel enough to get it to go higher. My box was getting reflashed, so that was stock without boost fooling. When I got home and put the box back in I got to 25 PSI.
I think even with the quad I'm not fueling enough. I'm running a 2005 turbo in a 2003 HO, so it should easily go 35 - 40 PSI.
Do you think it could be a problem with the map sensor? No codes though.
