stg 2 cp3, 3.3, 4.4 beta on sw9 & mp8 timing?

I replaced the bad FCA I had with an old one I modified myself a long time ago and now the truck runs pretty good but........

Anybody know what timing i'm at with the setup? I'm hearing a timing rattle or gurgling noise that kinda sounds like timing to me any ideas? Is the 4.11 on the aftermarket turbo and inj less timing? I didnt figure id gain anything with the 4.11 programs since its supposed to be like the 4.4.

The truck runs great with the exception of the rattle and now it gets alot hotter that it used to. I saw 1500 on a wot run but im hoping that was just with the bad fca I had. I would have assumed that the Aurura 5000 would be making short work of that heat with all that air.

Thanks for the help.....

I cant wait to see what the TNT does on this thing.

cant help you on the timing but i ran aftermarket turbo/ stock injectors and had no rattle. Beta 4.4 seemed to run a bit hotter than the revised 4.11 but feels a bunch stronger as well. Good luck with the tnt tune sounds great, are people still stacking with this tune?

I know the Aurora 5000 is larger than the bullet But I can get my temps pretty warm as well. I have not tried 4.11 but I bet there is more timing. Although I could be wrong

I have a very close setup to you with an auto trans and my egts get about the same also. I took ddp nozzles out because all the rattle scared me. then went with same injectors you have and I get some rattle but I was told you will have that. as for timing I dont know either. I have ran both the wild program and some beta tunes. they all seem to get warm when my truck goes into OD

I guess I was under the impression that dons injectors were the best you can get and likewise would make no noise. I am not unhappy by any streatch of the imagination but I was just suprised thats all

Tristin I also have heard that with 3.3's and johns Stg2 don't go higher than sw #7 Due to draining the rail.

I wonder if a modded rail like TC does would help with that?

I've wondered that as well. I'm also putting real considerations to Lloyds evil twin set-up

u plan on using your modded pump with a stocker if you do go twins? And then I've heard some concern about people having to run two lift pumps. With the cost of the competition modded rail at around $1200 and up, what could possibly be done to ring up a bill like that? And how much benefit are we talkin? I think I read 30hp on a stock truck 160 ( I think ) 60 hp on the competition rail (225) and I never seen any claims on the big daddy.

I don't know my next mods will be cam, springs, and fluidampr. Then either twin turbos or dual cp3s. I really wanna stay with a single turbo but I want less smoke and egts. So I don't think I will have a choice.

ouch. Some toys are more important than others. My wife already said no to the sperm bank but the kidneys are still up for debate.

So I guess that leaves me wondering which is the better program to run around on town on? I love the hair trigger but it certainly gets on the nerves of the other people, employees, wife, kids, etc. So less smoke and heat and a decent program.
