Stereo Help

Recently bought a Kenwood DNX5140 GPS DVD Player. In order to watch DVD the truck has to be in park with parking brake on. Is there a way to bypass this. I understand it is illegal to drive with it on but my wife and I travel 5 hours every weekend to MN and now she has something to watch hopefully someone can help. If this is the wrong place to post this I am sorry.

There is a ground wire on the parking brake if you stick your head under the dash with a flash light. Take the wire and move it to a constant ground.

Yup'
Just just take the ground wire off the park brake and pull a screw from the lower dash and put the wire between the plastic dash and steel dash mount.
