I was pulling into my driveway with son on my lap. I went to put the truck in park and was getting ready to shut it off when he decides to turn the steering wheel. The truck shut off faster than normal and the wheel is only turned 1/4 of a turn, but I can't get the key to turn to start the truck or anything. I tried shifting the manual 4X4 lever on the floor to neutral and that didn't help me get it started. You can only turn the key backwards to accessory and it shows it is in park but the key won't turn to start it. HELP PLEASE

 

try turning the steering wheel a little to one direction and hold it there while you turn the key, BTW you will only be able to turn the wheel one way but it might be a little tough.

 

Exactly... same thing happened to me. I had to pull on wheel HARD but it finally freed itself.

 

That worked, I pulled hard on the wheel the same way it was initially turned and turned the key at the same time. The key turned and it fired right up and all was normal. Thanks.
