Stainless Steel Intake

304SS Airhorn

Stainless Steel Intake-dsc00492-sshorntop-large-.jpg

I posted another photo (somewhere else) and I can't get it to attach here... and I'm too tired to try anymore right now!

Hard to get a decent shot due to the stainless's reflectivity.

NICE, can you make one to fit the banks size intakes(that come with the technocooler kit, they are larger than stock intake inlet). If so, put me down for one!

That's pretty.

Now how much? And does it come with plugs for the bungs, and gaskets?

And where's the mount for the dipstick?????

There's a couple photos in my gallery pending approval, meanwhile...

Stainless Steel Intake-large-.jpg

The SSHorn has the same diameter cross section from stem to stern, with a positive-locking lip to prevent boot blowoff (even with a cheap clamp), and whatever bungs you need - everything 304SS, TIG-welded together.

This model has a pair each of 1/8", 1/4" & 3/8" NPT bungs.

The price point we're aiming for on the base model is very competitive - still trying to figure out how to meet that on production pieces... these things are a LOT of work!

I know they're available with the number and type of threaded SS bungs that you specify, with a larger diameter version as well (IDK how that fits with the technicooler, TCR).

I hated to weld the dipstick tab on there - it'd visually interrupt the airhorn's curve! It's a bit higher than the stock location, which works fine on the 3rd Gens - should have enough flex in the 24V dipstick tube to fit. BUT, if it's something most folks would want, the tab will be there - or not if you prefer... except for 1 each of the 2nd & 3rd Gen demo models, we won't be keeping these in stock & ready to ship.
Just welded out & waiting for final machining & welding, according to how the customer wants it optioned. I don't want to stamp out a truckload of these on an assembly line - I'd rather fab quality custom pieces for the dieselheads that don't have the time/skill/equipment to make their own eyecandy.

They'll ship with an intake gasket, but not a pair unless the Grid Heater Delete ships with it; and if you need a bung plugged - you probably don't need that bunghole!

BTW, in case it isn't clear - this is the 24V version... identical to the HPCR version except for the approach angle of the inlet.

What flavors would you guys like?
(Wish I knew how to do a poll! )

Lets see I need a bung for boost gauge, water/meth controller, 2x water meth nozzles, and Nitrous pressure switch... Yep should be good then!

I believe all 1/8" NPT... I will need a dipstick mounting tab! lol

OK - so Brian needs 5x 1/8" bungs and a dipstick tab...

FYI - you have the option of T'ing boost signal sensors off of a single bung; really depends on what you want for the install in terms of fitment and aesthetics.

How bout a 6 or 5 inch stainless steal torque tube for a home made intake? I've got a stage 1 quad intake, but I've been trying to find some stainless steel tubing to make it stage 2. You otta make one of those

That makes about a half dozen so far - I'm gonna have to put another PayPal button on the website for you guys!

Just curious - why do you want a stainless steel intake tube? (I have 6" 304 at the shop, but it's too heavy for the application) What about aluminum? Trying to get the right "look"?

Can you make one that fits the larger banks tubing W/ 1 boost port and a dipstick mount highly polished? I'll pay however!
