Stacks, could it really be this easy?

I just crawled under my truck and it looks like all I have to do is cut my exhuast pipe, put on a 90, cut a hole in the bed and insert stack. Is it that easy? Also Ive removed the kitty and tried the truck straight piped= way to loud, so I found a magna flow diesel muffler and now want somthing a little louder. what muffler would you guys recomend?

If you're gonna do a stack keep the muffler you have for now because the truck will be louder and the noise will be right outside your back window.

or... just find some stainless and run 4 in up thru the bed, to a 6 x 6 x 4 tee, and then run a 6" across the bed in each direction from it, then 45 the 4' pieces that you miter cut already and TIG weld everything square... then you'll have something.

Yep pretty easy. Few clamps, an adapter or two, 90* elbow, brackets, clamp, hole saw, sawzall, welder, flex tubing, maybe a coupler if needed and of course the stack itself. A little measuring, cutting, welding, hamering, adjusting, cussing and your about done.

Here is what I used for my single 6" miter cut with AeroTurbine 5050XL muffler. Most of the parts came from airflo.com or in the garage.

If straight piped is to loud how are you going to stand stacks even with a muffler? The exhaust is right behind you, can't see it being to quiet even with a muffler.
