I currently have a Bullydog Tririple Dog powerpup in my pickup. I would like to know what if any programers I can stack ontop of this, with relitive safty. Also if anyone out there knows how I could get the Crazy Larry program back I would appreciate it!

There have been many people including me that run the BD with a TST and some people stack it with an mp-8. I have since switched to the smarty tst stack after borrowing a friend's smarty.

I would suggest that you don't try out a Smarty stack . . . unless you have a spare 800.00 sitting around for a new Smarty POD In that case I'd highly suggest trying it.

is the Smarty PoD one of the tuners that you can play with tunes and download other people's tunes or is it one controled by the Makers of Smarty? The reason that I ask is because with company tunes the EPA can shut down programs ie. the Crazy Larry program that BD used to have. I don't want to spend another 600 to 800 bucks that the Gov will throw down the drain in a couple of weeks like last time!

It will only run programs issued by Marco the inventor of Smarty.

What the heck is this all about?? I did not know the EPA had anything to do with the tuners?

THe POD will shut the EPA up whatever you mean, it is adjustable from below stock parameters to 100% on the fly.

what I am talking about with the EPA is that with BD's Crazy Lary program the trucks where putting out alot of smoke and the EPA forced BullyDog to remove it. I called into BullyDog myself to find out the reason they no longer had it and that is what the rep told me. F&^!in tree huggin hippys

BD blew smoke up your butt if you ask me. There were several issues with the Larry programs that forced them to stop offering it, the Crazy Larry was intended for an 05 truck and it was used on that and the 06-07, 04.5 and eventually even 03-04s. Bully dog is supposed to be coming back into the game with a whole new lineup, but only time will tell.

Wrong...
The EPA does not drive around in little Hybrid cars looking for mass pollutors. The pollice have an ordinance that they have to follow. If the police were doing their job there would be a lot of rigs parked due to the fact that they smoke. The new rule states that the vehicle in question must pass an opacity test if it fails to comply with the rules. There is a known amount of smoke associated with turbo charged vehicles, called torque lag pollution. Torque lag pollutants are developed by a large displacement engine creating torque prior to the spooling of the turbine creating an unburned fuel situation.

I have heard that the CL/PL/SL tunes were discontinued for people damaging their vehicles. If you are running the SMARTY you have to prove to the SMARTY team that you have the suppporting mods to run the TNT/R tune. It is VIN specific and keeps morons from blowing up their trucks trying to make 600+ HP with stock everything......then blaming the tuners.

Thank you all for your input, I was just repeating what the tech support at BullyDog had told me. I will look into the Smarty PoD and more than likely go with that one. One question remains, Should I stay with the BD to stack with the Smarty or would I be better off with something like the TST?

You can't stack the BD and the Smarty cause their both programmers but you can stack the BD and TST or Smarty and TST.
