Stacking? Explain..

What exactly is stacking? Sounds addictive.. I presume its using multiple boxes or something like that for more horse power and / or torque. I am relatively new to the diesel world but plan on being a veteran cause I aint going back to gas!

Also what would be compatible with what I already have. Anything? What would risks be other than too much power on the drive line.
Thankyou for the info!

Exactly. It's combining multiple electronic modifications.

For example, you may have a box that adds pressure, and find you can add more hp by "stacking" it with a box that adds timing and duration.

The most common stack for what you have is the VA3.2 This is a duration only module.

The most common problem you will run into stacked is lack of fuel pressure and you will need a larger turbo to get the most out of it.

With mostly stock equipment you probably will not be able to run both on the high settings.

I see, thanks Qzilla & Hohn.

Looks like that TO DO list keeps getting longer.

Man, another addictive quest - I modify everything... Wait, I hear voices again.

You are wrong Qzilla!! The truck will run, just not for long!!

I ran that stack for a while and the power was awesome. I already had some trans mods, better fuel pump, turbo and injectors. The problem I had was the Van Aaken box makes too much heat and with the new turbo my temps got up to 1500 on a hard pull. That's a bit much! I never had the temp problem with the stock turbo though...

If you plan on doing some serious bombing, first thing first should be upgrading the tranny, VB, flex plate, and Torque Converter. DO a search, there are a few good places out there like Dave Goerend, DTT, Suncoast, etc. Some of the more knowledgable gurus on here that have had it done can give you more insight, but it definately must be done from the sounds of your wish list.
