To stack or not to stack my truck- Poll
Hey y'all, I've been kicking around the idea of throwing a set of dual 6" mitres on my truck. I had stacks on my '01.5 24 valve and loved them. Wanted to do something different with this truck so I currently I have a 4" straight pipe no cat or muffler and with a 2nd gen manifold swap...sounds pretty dern good for a 3rd gen. But I've heard a few on youtube and such with stacks without the manifold swap and they sound dang good so I'm thinking with the 2nd gen manifold it would sound saw-weet!! And I think with the silver lifted regular cab it would look like a million bucks.
But then I get to thinkin' that stacks are too played out, everyone has them, they're too loud in the cab (esp w/ a reg cab), and I'd have to take my toolbox out whenever I tow my 5th wheel (I can tow it w/ the box in currently) not to mention soot the whole front every time I pull it to the lake. All practicallity says NOT to put them on but I can't help but picture a nice set of 6" mitres on my truck ...what do y'all think?
Well shoot I meant to make this an actual poll but forgot before I submitted it....

I have a single stack, but I don't tow anything much anymore, and never did tow an RV. If I was towing around an RV, I wouldn't have the stack. But I think it would look good if you did it, just not practical for your needs though.

You pretty much hit the nail on the head pros/cons wise. You'll just have to decide if the looks would be worth the mess and the noise.
And on that truck it would look really nice.

I don't get stacks on anything other than a truck for the track or pulling, why on a DD?
Chopping a hole or 2 in the box, can't have a topper etc, majes the truck useless for regular truck stuff.
Kinda childish but that's just me...

Thanks madhat, yeah I'm leaning towards no stacks...I'd have the 6" mitres about 5-6" over the top of the cab nothing too crazy but I just think I'd end up taking them off. I hear ya on the childish thing....the kid in me wants 'em but the adult says what the hell are you thinking?
