I know where there is a really good deal on a srt-10 hood but it is missing the entire plastic insert in the scoop.Any idea on what that piece cost or if it can even be purchased seperate?

PM RatlRatl. If it's available, he will hook you up when he gets back from vacation in a couple days. He is a wholesale parts manager at a dealer in NC. He was instrumental in helping me outfit my new truck at very good prices...
If you can get a great deal on the hood I'd pick it up anyways. I'm sure there are people on e-bay making these pieces for the hoods. If you can't find any of those then just duct tape the opening closed until you find one.........

Thanks Dodgezilla.Will pm him monday.Its missing the whole plastic insert inside the scoop.Haven't looked at a srt-10 hood up close but looks like there is 2 parts,a bezel and a grill but not 100%.

My local dealer will sell them for $650 primered.Have seen them on e-bay for $600 but throw in shipping and the dealer is the better deal.

I had mine replaced by insurance after hail storm. Body shop ordered me the SRT10 hood at NO additional cost for me. I have the insert in mine that lets air in. I contacted my local Dodge Parts dept and they ordered me the solid insert that is used on the Daytona trucks. Insert is $14.00 I believe. If you ordered a hood from dodge you should have got the insert. I know the body shop thought mine didn't have one till they found it taped to the underside of the hood.

New pump is on.John shipped one out the next day.Still having a few problems(non-pump related).John and JD have have been helpful with the new problem and gave me some technical input. Floor-It is first rate in customer service!

Can anyone verify if there is more than one piece of plastic in the scoop?I can get the hood for for $200.Eveything in the scoop is missing.

there's only one piece to the insert. It's a very flimsy piece of plastic. Is there a reason you don't put a after market piece in ? there's a number of styles to choose from.... many are on ebay.

heresome I found with a goggle... ebay doesn't seem to have many anymore... they sure aren't cheap ! even the stock platic they want $40 on ebay !! Dood, if you can't find one you like.. let me know. I have an original I can sell you for half that.

I might take you up on that half price deal!Those things are expensive.Been looking at some close up pics of the hoods and there seems to be a bezel and a grille.The used hood I'm looking at is missing both pieces.RatlRatl is checking on pricing for me.About as much for those 2 pieces as the hood will cost.Dodge and their high dollar plastic

The grill you can take off your existing hood and put on the srt. With the insert, you're suck with either the plastic and D/C makes or what's out there. I couldn't find any I liked so I had one made. Because of the cost for a one off... I had 5 made. I've sold the other 4. I was going to have some more made to sell but, those 5 will be all there is. If you want something nice... you may have to do the same thing. Let me know if you want to stocker. It's just about brand new.
