SRT-10 Hood and AFE-Stage 2

Hey guys i was wondering if anybody has this setup? Or have pics of the SRT-10 hood on there CTD. I am thinking about getting it, but have a few q's about it.

1. What are the advantages of installing the AFE-Stage 2??
2. Is there gonna be more noise with this air filter installed (sorry i am a newbie)
3. Is $1200 installed an ok price...i looked on ebay and couldn't find too much.

Thanks again for all your help.

is it $1200 for both the hood and AFE installed or just the hood? Does that include paint? if it includes everything listed installed, that is a great deal. Make sure it is a FUNCTIONAL ram air hood though, there are soem that are non functional and just for show.

Here's my truck. $1,200 is a little high, but if that's the best deal you can get,,,so be it. Is that painted before shipping, or from a local dealer. You are taking a big chance of getting it damaged if you have it painted before shipping. I wouldn't do it.

There's a dealer in Texas that sell's them on ebay. I paid $575 for the hood, $75 for shipping, and $400 for a local shop to paint and install. You can see some more pic's in my gallery.

BAD RAMMER JAMMER: $1200 that is from the dealer painted to match and installed. Is yours have the ram air in it or is it for looks? I am thinking about getting the AFE Stage 2 to fit underneath the intake. By the way sweet truck. Heres my truck hope this works--->> Not sure how to put the pic on the post so this will have to do until i figure out how to do that. Go to your profile page, then your gallery. Click on 'upload images,' and upload any pictures you want. They take a few hours or less to get approved, and then post their URL that you'll see when viewing them in your gallery.

And here is the StageII in my truck...The turbo sings a lot now, and the EGT's are low...500* at 70 mph...

ShakinRedCTD: how do you like your AFE STAGE 2? And what are the advantages/dis-advantages you've noticed with it. Is there more exhaust noise? Thanks Again

I love my stage II. It has a lot more whistle....which wasn't a huge plus for me. But the exhaust note is definately mean now! The fuel went up about 1.5 if you can keep your foot out of it....Easy install, common tools and about 15 minutes!

I ordered my srt10 and it came with the new grill to match, painted for under $1000

I got it at ramairhood.com and that is shipped to my front door. Install is $50 or less at the local body shop if I dont want to do it myself.
