SRT 10 hood?

I’ve been looking into getting this hood for my truck for awhile now. I was wondering if anyone makes this hood that directs the airflow to where our air intake is. Also are there any problems when installing it? I've been looking around and seems that the dealership will be the best place to get it.

get an OEM SRT10 hood. the fit will be awesome compaired to an aftermarket SRT10 hood. as far as an air intake that directs air flow from the hood,i dont know but Volant makes a Ram Air Intake Kit that fits the SRT10, but with a little moddification i think it could fit our trucks.

I run the SRT-10 hood from the dealership, it looks and fits well.. Theres nothing out there yet that allows us to put the ram air to use sadly to say..

The Volant SRT-10 one wont work.. Someone sells one for the Hemi trucks but even then it doesnt fit worth a crap, my buddy put it on his 05 Hemi and it looked and fit like crap not to mention one of the rivets was to long and went right through his hood, yeah he was ******..

If there was anything better he would know, he's head of the service dept at the local Dodge House, he always knows when somthing cool comes out cause he'll order it and tell me to come get it, of course i have to pay for it

I second the Mopar SRT-10 hood. Fit is perfect, bolted on with minimal adjustment. Got mine through the local dealer for a good price, around 550. Primed and ready to paint.

Seems like a waste of time directing fresh air into the box where it then has to go through the turbo, intercooler, intake manifold, and finally into the combustion chamber. No way it's still cool when it gets there.
You can always fab up a solid plate to cover the inside of the opening so your engine doesn't get wet...

WEt....................

I've driven through major storms and pulled into fuel and under the awning I'd pull the hood and nothing was wet. I don't get it,... what your saying about getting wet.

Hood,

I bought two SRT hoods from FT. Myers FL. They are the same hoods you
buy from dealer, they are stamped Daimler;Chrysler on scoop. They are
painted to match your truck. I got a deal when I ordered two, $ 840
including shipping to my door. www.srt10hood.com

I just blocked mine off today with a 1/8" thick piece of black plastic cut to size and bolted on behind the original grill. You can hardly tell it's there! I wish I new where to get more of the stuff since it's perfect for the job - I happened to find an appropriate piece just laying around in my garage.

Exactly!!!!

The ram air hood is pretty much inefficient and worthless unless you are driving at speeds over 100 MPH.

They do look awesome though.
