SPS 62/80 and AFE Stage II are in

I finaly got to finish the install of my SPS 62 and AFE stage 2 intake, and just got back from my first test drive, and man does this thing spool quick, it builds boost as quick or quicker than the twins, i have'nt realy romped on it on the higher setings yet so i can't tell anything about temps yet, i'll put a`100 miles on it friday mostly interstate and i'll compare cruising temps.

The truck sounds totaly differant, the afe intake is loud allot of wine, and there is just as much turbo wine comming out of the tail pipes and souds like you can hear every cylinder fire.

On a sour note, the exhaust is again very loud and abnoxios in the cab even with the MBRP resonator, i will miss the quietness of the twins!

When i started the truck i had 2 codes P0107 and P0073 antbody know what would cause these? and if they will clear?

I am also looking for a Y pipe 4 in 2/4 out so i can replace the MBRP muffler with one that actually muffles, and be able to keep my dual tail pipes.

Yes i ditched the twins, just wanted to try something different.
the 80 is how they size the exhaust housing, i think it's between a 14 and 15, the turbine looks huge compared to stock.
I might dyno it this weekend in NC. if i can get some miles on it before then.
I keep you posted.

Rick, I have a 27" Donaldson straight through that I put on my truck for towing. Most times I just have the MBRP but it is loud in my sideout setup for towing. I just drop out the straight pipe and put in the muffler and all is quiet again. If I'm not towing for awhile I pop it out....takes 10 minutes max. ks

Ok 500 miles on the new turbo, this thing spools like no tomarrow.
At 70 mph cruse Twins 7-8psi, 600 degf, SPS 62 3-4psi 650 psi just a small touch of the throttle and it's past 10 psi and climbing.

I have'nt fueled it to hard yet TST 4x4 and VA on low, flooring it from in 6th gear from 60mph boost jumps to 50 psi ( seem a little high but it's they way i got it from II ) egts jump to 1000 degf and when the waste gate opens the egts just quit moving i started running out of road about 95 and backed out never hit 1100 degf.

I think i need to turn boost down to about 40-45, 50 seems high for a 62 ???

I havn't towed yet but i will be traveling to Pa. and hitting some mountains this weekend we'll see how it does.

ABC , How do you pop a muffler or pipe in? I've been looking for four inch flanges for sometime now and can't find them anywhere. I wanted to weld them to my magnaflow muffler, my stock muffler, and also a straight pipe. Do you just use band clamps and pipes that don't slide into one another? Thanks

Rick,

Are you going to go Dyno soon with that set up? I'd be curious what the difference will be. I am watching this thread closely and may follow your lead in time. I had considered Artic Twins at some point....but I may settle for a single like this one if it works out. Thanks.

Im still shocked to see you (or anybody) going backwards after having twins. Good luck.
