I have seen videos of European truck racing. Pretty cool watching the big trucks hitting the curves with steam coming from the wheels.

you can buy sprayer kits that spray the charge air cooler with co2... cheaper than NOS and works as well... they also have piping kits to feed the co2 through a cooling pipe in the air intake piping after the filter to cool the air before entering the engine or turbo... flip through an import performance type magazine and you will see the kits...

On the episode of Monster Garage when they built the blazer for pikes peak, I think they added a water mister to blow in front of the radiator

The only downsides are:

1. If you use the spray in dusty environments, you can create a nice mud pack in the intercooler fins

2. Extended use with untreated water can produce calcium buildup and/or corrosion problems

Other than that, enjoy!

I guess you guys missed the super soaker water gun and washer fluid combination? The kid made a flame thrower from hell and burned a garage door 20- 30 feet away.

I guess it depends on how much you use. This was BMW concentrate, so it probably more than most might use.

Around 1980 I had a 92 series detorit and it was built as far as I could go. It was normally fine but out west on the passes it would overheat. I did that, installed spray heads and a couple of ww washer pumps on a five gallon plastic can. Did not cure all but let me get over some of the passes without stopping to cool off. Other trucks would get me on the CB and tell me I was leaking from the front.

A few years back some one on the TDR dyno tested cooling the intercooler with nitrogen. There were no HP gains.

Take some and try it some day. It will burn almost invisible so don't get your hands and face too close. It's kinda cool to see, what you can see anyway. So in answer to your post yes there is enough in there. The Mopar concentrate uses methanol in theirs, some others use isoprophyl.

Unless the engine were overfueled to the point that it could benefit from additional air density, I wouldn't expect any. Ya gotta have the fuel to burn with the additional air mass flow.
