Spray in liner or bed mat?

My last trucks had drop in liners and I liked them for their durability. This time I'm thinking of a spray-in or a bed mat. I have read about the spray-ins but havn't heard much about bed mats. Any thoughts on them would be appreciated.

I will get the Line-X spray in when I can. It's the only one approved for use by the military. Meets their explosure spec .
I was thinking of a bed mat in the mean time, but it's a pain when you wash the bed. Have to move it to get the water out. Local Dodge dealer want $150 for mat. Obvious better deals elsewhere. Good luck.

I have checked out Rhino and Line X and Vortex. Each has a different hardness after it cures. Rino can be scratched fairly easily with a sharp edge whereas vortex and line x are harder. I think the vortex liner is the way I will go. It also resists impacts well, adds a bit of protection to the box. Not to mention I can probally get it for under 375 over the rail on a 8' box. If you do go spray in don't get colored. It fades and looks like crap in a couple of years. Good luck on your decision.

No one ever talkes about Inyati bed liners, wonder if they are just in Phoenix. The last three trucks I've owned have had them. The liner is awsome and the people at the facility are great. I've had two problems(my fault) with scratches and both times they ask me to leave the truck and the keys, when I get back, can't tell where the problem was.
One draw back for these guys is they are expensive, about 500 bones for 6' over the rails. It's worth it, good customer service and when it fades(as everything does here) they give this spray to make it look like new again!(lasts about 18 months)

Info's mute though if they are not in your area...

Best of luck!!!

Line-x would be my vote..... avoid color....unless you don't mind touching it up every other year. However color does make your truck stand out, really nice

Line-x would be my choice for the spray-in liner looks good, durable and it cures quickly. If you know you will keep the truck long enough to justify the cost go spray-in.

LineX or Rhino, either one is very good. I have the lineX and use a bed mat for added protection and to keep loads from shifting.

This question is asked elsewhere on the site with more replies so you may want to check it out.

I have a mat, I'm getting the spray-in in two weeks or so. the mat is a pain and gets stuff under it which abrades the paint etc.

Just my opinion, that and a buck gets me a cheap cup of coffee.

Thanks for the info. I still am not sure if I want a spray-in or a mat. Anyone have any more pros and cons on the mat?. If I get a spray in, I'll get the Line-X.

love my bed rug...and I second the Knee thing...check out my pictures...had to cut it to go around my fifth wheel hitch but it still looks and works good...i vacum it out but you can spray it clean with water...my neighbor has one in his Ferd and regulary puts sand in the bed(concrete dude) and it just hoses right out for camping the next weekend...stuff doesent slide around either....
my two cents

My new Ram came-w-a liner and it is awesome IMO. It comes-w-brakets to relocate the cleats and they are extremely strong. To keep thiings from sliding I use some 2X6" studs and use adjustable seperators made out of 3/4" plywood-w-1 5/8" slots cut 7" through them. They act like sliding "keepers".
In addition my local grocery store uses a material as a bed for their vegetables. It is the same stuff people sell for high $ to keep tools from sliding around in the tool box drawers. They change it often and I get the old even though it is perfect. This is some grippy stuff. Check it out and let me know if it is around your local

Bed Rug

I also love my Bedrug. I've had gravel, bricks, wood, engines/trannies in the bed and I just hose it out. It goes in easy, takes a beating, and as mentioned is very easy on the knees when crawling around back there. I paid $300 for mine and installed it in about an hour. (just took my time) I've since seen them on eBay for less. Hope this helps.

Bed Rug

I like the Bed Rug best. It keeps loose stuff from sliding around.
