SouthBend DD complete failure....need help troubleshooting
SouthBend DD complete failure....need help troubleshooting
I was decelerating for a stoplight when I engaged the clutch pedal to downshift. Before I could touch the gear lever I lost all clutch pressure and the pedal went almost limp ( there is a little resistance left). I got the transmission out of gear and luckily coasted into a parking lot. Upon inspection the master cylinder is completely full, and after 15 to 20 pumps of the pedal there is no fluid leaking from any part of the system. The pedal is adjusted and the jamnut is tight ( I made that mistake 2 weeks ago). I called South Bend and their answering machine simply said "our offices are closed" So I e-mailed them. I need suggestions for where to start troubleshooting...Popped fork?.... pilot shaft bearing?....Connection between slave and fork? Can you get to anything important by removing the slave cylinder?
