Something Broke Need Advice

Well all week I had noticed my truck cranking funny. Turn over slow then faster. Also could tell a loss in some power. Yesterday I had a miss when I hit overdrive then a constant miss. Stopped and noticed a popping or a kind of loud sucking coming through the breather. Pretty loud too. Then noticed it out the exhaust pipe also. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I would take the boxes off and unload the downloader. Then drive it and see what it does. I was amazed at what a miss configured box can sound like and will cause popping and other ugly noises.

I thought it was valves and it was another headgasket Regardless, I would suggest getting some studs... If you end up taking the head off, bottom tap.

Check the valve adjustments. If there is something going on in the valvetrain it will usually show up in the adjustment. Unless it dropped a valve. If you do find one out of adjustment, dont just adjust it and think that it was "just out of adjustment". That is your problem cylinder if you find one.

Same exact thing happened here. Popping through the intake/exhaust.
