I see that this company: http://www.checkerpro.com/hardcovers.html offers soft and hard tops. Plus you can get a cover of underneath the hard top that is rugged. I have not called them yet to see how resistance it is to oil, gas, water and stuff. But I thought the price wasn't that bad.

They are also FLUSH with the bed compared to being above the bed with snaps or whatever.

The Access is wonderful. I have had one on all three of my trucks and have never had a problem with them. No mounted cross bars just looks better to me.

OK, so this thread is from a few years ago. I'm wondering if anyone can add or update to what was said here about the different brands. I'm looking at the AgriCover Access right now. Need to purchase one and install by Memorial weekend.

Thanks!

I run the TriFold from lund or someone. I can't remember now. I like it since there are only four attachment points that work on a cam lock system. You can adjust the cams for tightness and in about a minute I can have the tonneau off the truck.

I like the Acess also. I had the Laredo (low-pro) version on my old gmc. It was great. Rolls up real fast, and pretty watertight. Someday i'll get one for the dodge...

Hey, I started this thread! I bought an Access and I like it. Water doesn't make it under my bed, it's easy to roll up so I can carry a ton of wood pellets and it looks good, too. Very well built, imo.

I'd recommend the Access, too.

Thanks 12PACK. This is exactly the feedback that I'm looking for. They all probably look good new and keep the water out. I want to know how well they perform over time. Do they stretch? Start to leak, crack or fade? Does the hardware hold up?

Thanks for starting the thread.

Mine still looks new and I haven't treated it with anything. No leaks, cracks or fading. No problem with the hardware, although mine stays closed most of the time. The sides have velcro so tightening it is easy, plus the tension is adjustable, although I haven't adjusted mine. Another nice feature is when you roll it up, it stays tight against my rear window. No need to use the velcro straps to keep it there, which is good as my straps hang under the cover, not the way it's intended to be installed, but it works for me.

If you install it per the directions, the straps will lay on top, blowing around in the wind when the tonneau is closed. It isn't needed, imo.

A couple of pics of mine are in my gallery.

Good luck with your decision!

I'm looking at the Access covers too for my 2007. It looks like a great cover. I haul alot of firewood for the winter. Any thoughts on this cover???? Does it work well with hauling wood in the bed. Any insight???? Thanks Pete

Access Roll Up Cover is all mine says on it. Coming up on three years with it on my 05. As I mentioned, I roll it up against the rear window when I'm moving something that's higher than the cover, and it won't go anywhere, even without the velcro straps holding it.

The Access has earned the 12 PACK seal of approval.

I have access and like it a lot. But what ever you get go for the built in sag support and the velco sides. My last Dodge pickup had the snaps. After a while it gets easy to damage the snaps. Velcro is much eariser to deal with....

Temperature changes made putting my old tonneau with the snaps hard to get on. It would shrink a little and getting the last snaps on required alot of stretching. The good thing about that is after doing it for a few years, you could turn a golf ball into powder with your bare hands.

Velcro sides are much easier and quicker to close.
