Soft Tonneau Recommendations

Hi Folks, Looking for a soft tonneau for my 05 qc sb. No snaps, like on my 95, but velcro or something along this line. A friend of mine recommended the Extang Tuff Tonno III. I don't need something that can secure/lock the bed.

I see the bows now stay attached to the liner when it's rolled up against the rear window. This would be a nice feature. Sources for said tonneau, too, would be nice. Thanks in advance.

The one at Geno's is the Lite-Rider and he seems to have a good price on it. It's made by agri-cover. There are 2 higher models, the access and the access limited. I bought the access limited and it is a great tonneau. Still undecided if the extra cost of the higher model was worth it. I thought the extra tie downs would be nice, but they are only rated for 80lbs a piece Some of my friends that have seen it in action have said there next tonneau will be one too.

I have the Mopar soft cover and I really like it. Takes about 30 seconds to roll it up and about a minute to put it back on. It has a rail system that holds it in place like a Jeep soft top. I have a couple pics in my photos.

I had the Extang Tuff Tonno on my truch and really likes it. It was easy to install and I liked the way it was secured without snaps or velcro. The only reason I got rid of it was because I decided to go with a shell.

I have the "access" based on recommendations from my youngest brother, my dad, and several friends (this was my first soft tonneau). As abryant said, it's made by AgriCover, a firm in Jamestown ND (near where I grew up) that makes tarps for grain trucks, etc. I have nothing to compare it to, but the quality seems pretty good to me...

Edit: I bought mine from truck-bed-covers.com for $422 (shipped). The bows stay attached to the cover on the Access also.

I have a Access Cover Limited Edition, take a look at my gallery for photos. this is my second Access Cover. Had one on my wife's F150 for 4 years with no problems at all. Bought it when we lived in Minnesota, so temperatures were very freaking cold to the mid 90's, the Access Covers are adjustable at the front to keep the cover tight in temperature variable. I can roll up my cover in about 30 seconds to haul tall items and have the bed covered again in about 1 minute. It's not completely weather proof, at least mine is not, but I've never had major flood in my bed either.

Here's the web site for more info, www.accesscover.com/

Hope this helps.

I carry all the big name tonneau companies. Let me suggest you start by browsing their websites. Among them are Covercraft, Extang, Lund, LeBra (which I'd recommend against), Access, SportMasters/TonneauMasters, Truxedo... We also have hard covers like Undercover, ********, PaceEdwards, Roll 'n Lock too.

I have an Extang Full-Tilt on my truck and I'm pleased with the fit and quality. The pricing is good as well. Extang probably has the most variety of cover styles from one company, including the new Trifecta which is a folding where the bows stay put.....

In short, look around to find the style of tonneau you like best. I have a snapless full-tilt because raising it is a lot easier than rolling it up (it still rolls up too), and I hate the snaps personally. Also, velcro suck IMHO. Extang uses a plastic part in the cover that engages the frame. Holds tight, looks great too. YMMV.

Once you find the types you like (and have a few choices), just give me a call and I can get you pricing if you'd like.

Just like the Mopar cover or Jeep soft top.

I got mine from genos almost 3 years ago and have been very happy with it except for the fact that the mounting rails stick into the bed a couple of inches. The problem with this is that if I need to load up a lot of equipment in the bed and I bang into the mounting rails it knocks them out of adjustment and I have to realign them or the tailgate won't close right. Other than that it still looks great and pulls nice and tight and the velcro still holds like new. Well worth the $$$....

a buddy of mine just installed a Extang cover on his 2004 tundra. it is a low profile cover and looks great. i'm not sure of the model # but it sits flush with the bed of his truck. i will try to find out tomorrow. if i were going to buy one that would be the one i would get.

I bought my EX Tang full tilt from Sam. It is a great product at a great price and suits my needs just fine.

I just put an Access cover on my 04 long box.
Not cheap $688.00 Canadian Tire Money(Canadian Currency) tax inc.
Guaranteed for life(?).
Appears to be a quality product.
Priced about midway between cheaper soft tops and follding rigid tops.
Very easy to use, nice design.
Go to your local truck toy place and check them out....quite nice.

BTW my neighbor has a Truxedo cover that is nice too.
