smarty update???!!
well... my take on 4.05b.. #9
wow! impressive! keep in mind i run a hand shaker so slush box guys, you may have a different opinion...
i would say its almost to touchy.. ie 2,3,and 4th gear there seem to be a few rpm missing between 1500 and 2k cause it runs thru that range like a light switch... 5th gear seems to slow it to an almost controllable rate. 6th gear on the freeway (1500@55) its almost like the pulse in my foot is connected to the turbo, the slightest twitch lights it off instantaneously.
now seeing as to how im still on a stock clutch this is a problem... in 5th it'll still break the tires loose if i roll into it about 1/4 throtle.. 6th just slips in that rpm range over 1/4....
personaly im backing it back down to version 2.05b #9... wife might be driving it this weekend..
and yes even w/ the stock clutch i run # 9.. it gets me the best economy, and i just have to roll into it below 1900...
as far as the auto guys that have a trany to handle it.. you'll love this! or atleast you'll find out if it'll handle this much down low!

I don't care what version...still calling bull on that claim.
5th gear roll on....that is say 65 mph to speed limiter... NO WAY.
Like I said...575 hp won't do it.
I am just being level...I love my Smarty to death....as well as the rest of my truck.
