Smarty TNT-R

I have a 2005 with Smarty TNT-R , Flux 3.3, Cam, Valve Springs, S300 64/74 .85a/r over a S480 all externally gated, Dual Pumps.

The Question I have is should Stack with the Smarty or not will i see gains will i damage anything? If I do stack what should stack with it?

Since you have the fuel and all the supporting mods, I suggest either
a MP-8 or Dr.P pressure box. Smarty does a good job of modifyng
rail pressure, but it doesn't raise it past stock levels. By runnng a pressure box stacked with TNT-R will put the RP into the sweet spot, which seems to be in the 26.5-27K area.

I would also play with the TST...lower levels.

Say 1-0 asd 2-0 with no additional timing...05 twins program.

Try this over TNTR SW-7 Default timing, RP 3, TM 2, 4k on.

There is no BENIFIT of the TST over the smarty...

It just adds on the spot adjustment for a tad more duration to boost power.

For me...with Flux 3.3's...Smarty makes a perfect 700-750 hp truck...

Turn on the TST and BAM...850ish.

If I had bigger injectors...I would not need it...but...I don't...so I need it.

Have you dyno'd your truck - we are looking at getting to 800 + on fuel you say you are about 700-750 with the smarty and you make 800+ with the stack you have in your signature

Yes...only one dyno in current config...BUT my wastegate was stuck open.

Rolled 760 with around 20 psi low compared to street and it never cleared up.

My 850 number is the scientific guess based on other similar setups and street numbers/speed.

Decided to take some time and fix a bunch of stuff...truck will be rolling again going for that number.

Magic Recipe. I have an 04.5 with flux 3.3's, cam, valve springs, 62/71/13 over S480 and made 780 hp/ 1200+ tq all the while spinning the tires on the dyno and eating my clutch up. The dyno graph was so jacked up because it was exponential in shape not sigmoidal. I feel confident the truck is more than 800 probably 820-830. The only electronics were Smarty TNT-R on SW7 Rail p. moderate, tq mgt. mild, timing 3. Stacked with diablo power puck(Thanks Chris "Bluechrome") on the low setting. I have no idea what the boost was, but I am thinking 65-70 range is what I can make, the truck didn't do it though because of clutch and tire slippage. Jay

X2 def. a pressure box, as far as the TST I dont think 04.5-07 stack well w/ the smarty and TST, just from hearing what people have said on forums it isnt a big bang for your buck type thing. It will do more harm and good if your not careful.

I beg to differ....

My smarty TST stack was NASTY!! But, you definately need dual pumps to support the rail. I was on a stock pump with stock injectors and as long as I did not turn the torque enhancement above 1 it was fine. Anything over that and the rail would fall to 14000 or less. I made 536/1020 with just a Smarty/TST, HTT64/12, Glacier 392 and trans. Stock injectors, pump, cam, springs, studs.....

I am using TST along with the TNT-R and also a power puck.

While smarty alone makes about 90% of the power increase, there is more to be had using a pressure box and the TST.

As stated above, one must use the TST carefully and only on the lower levels. But it will add more power.

so an MP-8 & TST keep the TST on low and jack the MP-8 up all the way

and drop the smarty down to SW-7 Default timing, RP 3, TM 2, 4k on

what happens if you up the torque enhancement on TST does it break stuff
