Let me note I never went over 65 mph. Took a trip from Baltimore to Buckcannon, WV. Drove on I-70 west to I-68 west to I-79 south which has there share of little mountains on it. I'm sure you know where I-68 and I-79 are, not that far from you shineboy2.

Yeah, just went the MADS site and saw it. I will have to install it and play a little. Without a modified tranny I can't go too far anyway, but maybe I can squeak a little more MPGs out of the beast...
Does lower RP and TQ help with milage?
When using 4.11 on sw3 I picked up a 1/2 mpg while towing over stock and a 1 mpg over Quad XZT on level 3.
With revo on sw3 or 5 I have too much smoke. Marco said fuel quality was the problem with the jr smoking. So the question is if one drops the timing back from 4 to 2 to reduce smoke will you lose milage.
It you sure be nice if someone could give us some direction.

the tq man, is what makes the throttle more touchy, lower tq man will give less smoke, and make the instant fueling almost go away. so mileage should improve from that.
the higher timing you can run, the better the economy will be, less of the generated heat will go out the exhaust valves, and your cylinder pressure will be higher, giving you more power per amount of fuel burned.

With towing 16,000# 5th wheel, found TM-2, timing on 2, and RP-1 being a good setting. The EGT are under 1000*, in fact I am over the mountain before they peak over 1000*. A little smoke, learned to try to lite peddle until the boost is above 10psi on start out. after 10psi, peddle goes down
