I have been looking all over for a Smarty JR, however they all seem to be at that $495 mark. So I would guess that is MAP price on them? I guess Im just looking for a better deal to try and save some Green.

Thats the set price for all vendors. There are 2 of em for sale in the classifieds right now for $375

 

Yeah. Authorized dealers cannot sell them any lower. Best bet is to try to find them used if you're looking to go cheaper.

 

I just now looked at a used one in the classifieds for $395 plus shipping from somewhere in TX. Smarty Jr. J-06 w/ POD for 2003-2007.

 

Just a friendly reminder - if you buy one second hand then make sure the software is loaded back on to the Smarty by the seller. They lock to the VIN code so if the seller has not done that then all you are paying $395 for is a $15 keyboard. And the factory will not support you here either. Another reminder is to either download back to the Smarty before you send to the dealer or tell them to not flash the Dodge computer on board. Safer to just set her back to stock then dump the software back in when you retrieve the truck from the dealer. I always carry the Smarty unit with me in the truck in case the servicing happens somewhere else, (say down in the US) for me.
