Smarty pole
I've tried to get this answered before but no luck...what do you think is physically happening iside the engine to make the "injection clatter" you hear? I hear it on my truck with the stock injector and turbo software from smarty. I'm just curious as to what is making the noise.
I think the noise is just good old fashion diesel knock.
My other truck is a 12 valve , now that makes noise.
I just started using the Smarty again after having off my truck for the past 4 months. I tried 3 different softwares over the past week. I downloaded level 7aftermarket turbo in each of the programs.
Stock injectors moderate TQ program: Nice throttle response, a bit too smokey, not much top end, motor sounded good, could not use the TST without timing rattle- I know, level 7 is with timing added but I wanted to try anyway
Stock injectors mild TQ program: Not enough throttle response, less smokey, not much top end power, motor made more rattles, TST would not play with this program either
Aftermaket injectors moderate TQ program: Excellent throttle response, about the same smoke level as the stock injectors mild TQ program, motor sounds good, NO top end, but the TST seems to play nice with this program. I have had the TST set to only level 1, but it seems to have extended the power past 2000rpm.
