Smarty Jr. questions and concerns
i have been looking into the smarty jr here recently and i am unsure about it. i have been told you have to be carefull with the automatics. will the tranny slip? im sure that it does depend on your driving habbits and it also depends on your setting, but with my truck still having a warranty would it be worth it and does it truelly not leave a footprint? that is a must with my dealer. they allow some mods but they are very stingy when it comes to that. i will add that i do not tow a whole lot but there are times when i do.
also, is it worth the money?

I think I was told 80 HP over stock is acceptable for the stock auto trans.
It just depends on how easy/hard you drive your truck.
If you wait a few days, I will be able to tell you how the Smarty JR is.........I just ordered one and it should be herer Friday or Saturday.
CAN'T WAIT!!

Now-
You can kill a stock auto with stock power. It's all in how you drive it. With restraint, I think your trans will be fine.
I chose to run no additional power until getting a TC, VB, and input shaft. I chose to run stock since I have 3.73's and 35" tires. I would quickly wear out the tranny with added power, 'cause I know I can't keep my foot out of the throttle.
As for the warranty, if you play, be prepared to pay. There are people I know who have gotten new trannys after they've been toasted by extra power, but some have been denied.
I personally would never try to pull one over on a dealer. It's completely dishonest, and I value my integrity. I don't do it for anyone else but me. I could care less what other people think, but I like to sleep well at night...
