Talking Smarty Jr Beta

Kind of a funny change of heart from me. When researching the smarty I read that a lot of people felt that it smoked a lot. After loanding the 40hp tune on my 3k mile truck I could hardly get more then a puff out of it for smoke and thought to myself what in the hell is everyone talking about, I was a little let down to tell you the truth. But now after 1k miles on the smarty I am certain that every hole, pore and nook in my exhaust is well coated and lubricated cause now I roll cole like a freight train. Its especially bad since I have a handshaker and do not keep boost throught my acceleration. Which brings me to my point, I absolutly love the smarty and need the help of you guys.

I had heard from Bob that there was a new Beta Program for less smoke on the jr. I have not been able to get a hold of anyone to get this version. Does anyone have it that can e-mail it to me?
If anyone does my email is eldgenb@hotmail.com
thanks guys.

Yeah, my experience also. Didn't seem like much smoke at first (good), but more now (less good) that I have a few miles on it.

FYI, Bob requests that beta files are not shared with others...and that all requests go thru him (at least for the Smarty Sr.)...could be wrong for the jr...

I figured it might be like that, I sent him a couple pm's with no response so I figured I would reach out and see what happens. I guess it doesn't hurt to ask.

Don't bother. I have tried BOTH beta programs and they do not lower the smoke levels. Marcos is still working on it.

It seems that you guys say that the boost is lower with the jr. Right?
If so could you run a boost fooler and maybe clear up some of that smoke?
I don't know, just asking.
is the smoke just a problem with the standard tranny trucks?

A boost fooler would only allow it produce more boost, the problem is when taking off or if you hit it in traffic, once boost builds it clears up.

It does clear up, but I'm wondering why it smokes more now than when I first loaded SW#1. I've been back and forth between SW#0 and SW#1 several times, and for a short while SW#2 (70hp) until the clutch slipped a bit. Then I went back to SW#1.

It's not just taking off that makes smoke. I can make continuous smoke towing a 1,000 lb trailer. This really sucks. Mileage seems down also. Wash trailer and hualing equipement every time you tow. I wonder what it's doing to the cat on the 04.5 and newer trucks. Maybe their plugging, could be the reason I've read of guys getting worse fuel mileage.

This is really starting to tick me off. I bought the Smarty on the statements of they've done their home work, do it right the first time. Neither seem to be the case here.

I'am sure I'll get flamed for speaking out but it is what it is.

Does the senior smoke a lot as well on the lower levels? I was thinking about getting a jr., but I defiantly don't want a bunch of smoke. I have a manual trans. 03.

I won't flame you, the smarty jr is great but seems to get a lot less TLC then the Sr. I just want a program that doesn't smoke as bad and I would be completely satisfied. As far as the cat just get a test pipe "for offroad use only" change out the muffler and you can really enjoy the smarty without worry. By the way Bob, I think this forum eats my Pm's so if you read this my email is eldgenb@hotmail.com thanks.
