Smarty Install First Report

Good Googly Moogly
Had to try - put it on #6 first and OH MY GOD!!! Scared to even think about # 8 or #9
Finally set to highest safe level with stock auto which is #3 and still an incredible machine now.
Anyone sitting on the fence - JUMP and do it !!!!

My Smarty has been sitting on my office desk for a week - I've been too busy with the Quad Race to download it...

Smarty Is great. I just put mine from 7 to stock to take it to the dealer for an oil change and wow stock power is no fun. After the oil change i put it on 9 and wow. Its a rainy day so cant feel all the power due to slippage but that makes it all the more fun .

Someone correct me if I am wrong but the timing is the duration in which the injectors stay open spraying fuel.

Okay I'll correct you Timing is when the injection event occurs in relation to top dead center. Duration is the amount of time the injector stays open.

Agreed, 3's excelllent and not too hard on a reletaviely stock truck like mine. The w/o timming is to support stacking boxes / timming devices (no timming even software versions)...if you dont stack or have another timming mod, sticl to the odd software versions so you get the benefit of enhanced timming (lower egt's, better perf / mileage)...

I just installed mine last week, been havin way to much fun to even report back.
The power increase is great I find I get a good puff of smoke on sw3 but no smoke on sw5. anybody else find this? I thought it would be the opposite.
Been to scared for the tranny to go over sw5.

Anyone else have issues with #5 or #7 at around 2300 RPM? It seems to hang there under heavy throttle and the RPM's bounce up and down from about 2200 to about 2400. At first I thought it might be the tranny slipping in LU, but there was no shudder or vibration at all. Seemed more like an engine issue than a tranny issue?
