SMARTY Help Needed!!

I went to set truck to "stock" with SMARTY (V4.14 R1.15) today and when the SMARTY got to 61%-97% (tried a few times) it aborted the program 'error #42" and left the truck in that state. NO START with the fuel pump going on and off.

I installed FASS afew months ago. Never changed the truck from SW5 before or after the FASS install. This is the first time I have tried to reprogram.

The recovery proceedure gives the same code

Please HELP!!

Try pulling the fuel pump fuses and the abs fuses this happened to my buddies truck when he tried to upload my Smarty onto his 05 with a FASS.

Pull them and then upload the Smarty while they are out. ABS stands for anti lock braking system.

Removing ABS & FASS fuses while programming did not help.
Thanks though. Any other suggestions?

Fixed by pulling Fass fuse and relay along with abs fuses as per Bob W's instuctions.
Even took out fuel heater fuse.

MikeyB I took your advice and charged up batt's first.

What causes this?

Is there a way to avoid this from happening in the first place?

I'm not an expert on vehicle communications, but i do a lot of industrial programming, rs-484 rs-232 serial communications, and they are very sensitive to voltage, so maybe the draw of accessories or the low battery voltage from having the key on without running for extended time, or just the voltage change from devices starting and stopping might be interuppting the communications between the smarty and the vehicles ecm, causing your errors. all downloaders etc say to turn off all accesories while downloading, so removing abs and fuel pump power is just going one step further at reducing voltage fluctuation while downloading.
