Smarty or fuel system?
Smarty or fuel system?
Ok fellas need some advice here! Im gonna be getting myself alittle X-mas gift and cant decide on what to do. I already have a TST and been lookin at fuel systems for awhile now witch was the very next thing on my list of wants, but ive also been readin alot about the Smarty and the files thats gonna be available soon.
I could sell the TST for a fuel system and if im careful have alittle left over to save for a clutch.
I also like the power of the Smarty(like the TST as well) and i have a nice 6" single stack waiting to be installed that id like to be able to see the smoke fly out of it when "needed" dont wanna do it all the time but when i want it, I WANT IT
The TST wont smoke unless im on high settings on the TT03 program and thats not good on my truck, will a fuel system help the TST with this on the Standard program?
So what do ya think fellas, help me choose a path!!
Thanks
Buddy

If you get the Smarty and run higher levels you will need the fuel system.
Personally I got the Glacier GFS392 performance fuel system before I got the Smarty. I noticed a better idle quality and a little better response. I won't claim any HP but it may have picked up a couple, none that I could detect though.
I kinda look at it like building a house. You've got to have the foundation first. I started with gauges first, moved to a better fuel system, then the Smarty. I havent run it on any settings that will challenge the clutch yet but the way I do things I'll probably get a clutch before moving up in power.

I'd say fuel system as well, I got a rail/pump pressure gauge and my Smarty and Banks setup drops my pump pressure to 0 really quick. that being said, the rail pressure hadn't dropped any, that I can tell.....Hope this helps.
