Smarty error erasing memory?

I have the Revo TNT/R on it right now and was having a few problems with it so I was going to go back to the 4.11 and see how that acts. But when I went to update it, it started to and said erasing memory, then a window popped up and said ERROR ERASING MEMORY. I tried a bunch of different things and all programs said the same thing. Now when I plug the Smarty in all it says is EMPTY MEMORY PLEASE UPDATE?

Bob or Marco please help!!!

Thank you all so much!

Dustin

You'll have to get with Bob on that one. I've been there to... it's something with the software

You may know but, be sure you're using the most current smartyusb.exe.

It's Saturaagwefcsdiay=knight

Trucks running good. In fact, I just installed some 10 hole injectors Scheid sent me today. I'm actually getting a little assistance from them now. It's rained all day though so I haven't got a chance to check it out yet.

If they work out... I think I'm gonna go with some Lightning II's. Those should be fun !

What kind of fuel issue ???

I think them are the injectors I have in my truck, Dan was pretty tight lip on my injectors. I think he said they were one of the first sets out? What are the lightning II's.

As far as the fuel issue not sure, I have been getting a lot of surging and some smoke (white) at times. It was really acting up last night so I took the smarty back to stock and it seems to be fine now.

I think you're gonna see the same thing when it's done loading. Maybe not but, I did the same thing... tried to load it again and it didn't take.

I'm not sure if it's possible yet... they're looking into it but, the II's are a bit larger than the I's. They have them for the 2nd gen's now.

just a guess but, your surging very well may have something to do with your rail pressure. You have twins though so I could be wrong. I don't know how they act.

I've yet to run the Revo/R since I got it so don't know to tell you if that's where it's from. With trucks built they way ours are... I've found they act a bit differently than normal... in a good way. You have to get used to some of the sounds and performance. White smoke I've found to be common because of bigger injectors. Mine will smoke white puffy clouds for 5 minutes on a cold morning

Yep, had the same issue for a couple of days of attempted downloads. The unit is on its way back to Bob now. He said he would fix it right up. Hope so. Sure like the unit but the downloading could not be any less user friendly.

Ty:

I don't want to "hijack" your thread here, but wanted to tell you that I am very glad to hear that things are going better for you with Scheid Diesel!
I was glad to hear you and Les were able to talk things out on your truck and all. I hope those Scheid Injectors take care of that problem you had.

Take care.

Respectfully,

On that note I want to say, that with the problems that I have had with my new engine, Dan has always stood up in trying to get it right. It just gets frustrating at times when you have spent all this money not to have problems and still have them.

Ty,
What problem were you having with your injectors? Because I have tried 6 sets and then Dan gave (sold) me these new injectors to try. And they really helped clear up the bottom end.

Thanks John. Never meant for any of the drama in the first place. I do like Les and think he will do what he can to help. For some reason.. they never received any of my initial communications so I let it go.

I think if I had the issues you did, I would have pursued it harder than I did and would have had Dan's hear to. I didn't have that big a problem though so I didn't pursue their help.

I don't know what the issue is with my truck. I've had a rattle ( like spark knock ) since it was built. I've been through every possible cause myself and have got to the point I didn't know what to do next. It doesn't take away from performance it's just very annoying.

Now that I'm in contact with Scheid, Les at the store mine was done at is trying to help me figure it out. My gut feeling is that my injectors are the problem so, Les sent me a brand new set of their Lightning injectors to try out. I Extruded my stock injectors so I never had another set to swap to see if it helped get rid of the rattle.

If these injectors get rid of it.... he's going to work with me to get some of the same injectors with a higher flow rate. These and what you have are 100hp but, I need bigger !!
