Got the smarty today and was checking it out. It has 4.06 and 2.07. I noticed on the website there is version 2.08 What's the difference in the two programs? Also how do you enable the high idle?

 

High idle is enabled on any smarty software....just turn on cruise control and hit set (no touching the brake pedal)....accell / decel increase / decrease the idle speed....

2.08 is the latest....fixed an issue or two with 2.07...you should upgrade....

 

I'll try it again. Do you know what the issues were?

 

does the high idle work on the 6spd?

 

I think the 6 speed requires a switch of some sort.....create a new post, i've seen it on here before....

Nothing big, just some timming tweeks and remove 602 code....

 

the 6 speed doesnt need a switch, i just installed one because i wanted to. you just jump pin 22 on the ecm to ground. do a search for the high idle thread.

 

When running High idle should you use Park or Neutral?

 

what different software should I try? stock turbo/inj. with mild tq man. right now but smokes like a train. Need to clear up a little. Also can someone help me through the download process, I've played with it for 6 hrs now and can't get it to work.

 

Not sure if it will work in Neutral.....use park.

 

Use N. It keeps fluid circulating to the TC. If you have a modded VB it may do it in P. Stock VB will not.

 

My '07 six-speed was leaving a po602 code and the "MIL" light on after restoring the stock program. New download fixed that. I lost some sleep, but Marco and Bob came to the rescue! I do wish a lower initial smoke program were available. I unintentionally smoked out a car behind me that was trying to snake me. That was on #1!

 

Mine still sets the 0602 code after the update.
