Thumbs up Sled puller 66 pros and cons

I just ordered the sled puller 66 Can't wait as I need it yesterday ol well three weeks go bye fast! ( Backordered )

Those of you with the sled puller what are the pros and cons of this large turbo. The guy at HT Turbo said it has great offerings but can't have everything too. Large boost at volume causes surging at some rpm ranges ( normal drive-towing) but at a high performance level its great!

Pros and Cons guys with Sled puller 66! Thanks!

i'd like to know how it works on the auto i am getting the ats stage v tranny done this week. i called ht and they said it would surge too much for towing even with the built auto. Is anybody with auto's having those kind of problems? I don't want a turbo too small when i upgrade. HT recommended a killer b2 with 12 cm inlet and 64 compressor housing.

I have tested all of HTT turbos and liked them all on my rig but the sledpuller far exceeds the other ones, the original HTB2 was great for spooling up but it did not cool enough with my mods, the Killer B was great at keeping egt's down but had a surging issue when I towed, and the sledpuller was just awsome for a single, although it did spool a little slower than the Killer B there was no surging that I noticed or remember noticing and the cooling was awsome, once the boost comes on just sit back enjoy and hold on . What I was told is there is a way to tunnel intake so it does not cause surge but at track or pulls remove and you have plenty of boost. but he did say if you air intake and other combo are good to go. No problems with surging with some and other report no problem and they have not fuguired out what cause the flex between each. He said twins have same problems. Fuel and air are playing with each other!
I decided 66m and will deal with engine surge etc later if there is a problem.

Would love to bought those TWINS! Whole lot of $$$$.00

Tomeygun bought my sledpuller and as far as my hp gains it is true that I did not gain much there but my torque went way up, I have to find my sheet but it was 588hp and 1343 tq Dynojet corrected and with my sledpuller it was 593hp and 1143tq corrected, this tells you how good of a single charger this is. My egt's with twins even pulling my 20ft trailer are hard pressed to get above 1300 so they cool allot better than a single, with my sledpuller I could hit 1700 if I really wanted to, maybe tom got us mixed up moolie or gristle missle whatever his name is on here is having the problems with egt's so he says. kevins600,

If you're going right to Denver to have ATS put your trans in I would talk to them about the Aurora MST turbo that they have. I've only looked at what they have posted on the web, but it appears to be something along the line of the VG Turbo that Holset is working on with Gale Banks.

I won't be doing the charger and mad ECM unti sometime late next month so I haven't started looking hard yet.
