drill a pilot hole about 1/16" dia. (so if you goof, when you make the 5" cut, its gone)
i looked up from underneath. you'll have to remember to measure back from the front of the bedrail the thickness of the cap on the front. you'll find that the front edge of the bed(underneath) has a large beam across it. you have to decide if you want to cut through it or set the stack back and have a piece made to bring the stack forward and even with the bed. i just cut through the support.

i had the cat out of the truck at 1 point and i had to put it back in so now its about 4-6" farther back and with the regular cab i dont have enough room to put in a piece of flex pipe and then an 90deg elbow do you think it would be fine if i just used a piece of flex pipe and bend that as my 90? then i would clamp the stack to the bed using like a staxx clamp or somethinglike that and then put a 7x7" plate with a 5" hole in it on the bottom of the bed, bolt that so its in the middle of the hole in the bed, then weld the exhaust pipe to the plate so the bottem cant move around. do you think ill have any problems with this set up or is there a better idea because im leaving the cat for now?
