if you dont plan to reinstall your stock system find a sawzall and get some torch blades they work well. spray wd-40 on your rubber hangers. that should help you. I took the exhaust off my truck myself in about 15 min. its cake. but ive done it alot. on the new system just put the clamps on and then get all where you want then tighten them down. Im thinkin of putting on the 5"system that silverline just came out with. tired of the drone inside that I have now. let us know how your exhaust fits up. if you have questions post them

The WD or PB is a must for the hangers. Also a 10mm ratchet wrench is handy for gettin the DP off of the turbo. I dont know if it is worth it or not but if you cant get to the DP at the turbo pull the inner fender and it is right in your face. There should be 8 8mm holdin the fender in.

Are you just doing cat back? The Silverline system has all the parts for a complete exhaust. I went into mine thinking I was just doing cat back, but after fighting with the joint from the cat to the muffler, I quickly changed my mind.

Check fit your tip on the tail pipe PRIOR to fastening it all together. The tail pipe comes long, so you may want to trim it off. It'll also help just in case you need to reform the tailpipe to get the tip on it. I still ended up putting a couple bags of ice on and in the tailpipe for an hour, and put the tip in the oven at 400 for an hour. Then I still had to beat it on with a 2x4 and a large rubber mallet.

I assume you are aware of the resonator in the stock tail pipe? Wasnt that your thread on it a while back? Guys that didnt replace it on the Mega's seem to have drone issues. I dont know anything about it, since I have the Quad cab.

awesome quality!!!

i ended up doing the install this afternoon all by myself. my brother ended up having to work. the silverline kit is all what they say. very nice fit, awesome sound! the hardest part was removing the old system. all the hangers lined up perfect and the only real downer is that the ups guy managed to dent the tailpipipe out of round so i have to trim off a piece before i can install the tip.....looks and most of all sounds great!!!!! no problems!!!!!!....resonator got tossed too and so far no drone!!! i can't get over the sound!!!!

btw, exhaust came from ETR. i know some guys are unahppy with them but i had no problems at all! very fast and friendly especially geoff!!!

also....smarty should be here by the end of the week! thanks to will(wap)!!! very cool dude! will be doing more business with him once i save up again!!!
