I have a 2006 CTD that has had the cat removed and i currently have a 5 inch straight pipe on it. I am wanting to tone it down and i am thinking of getting the Silverline system. My question is...if i order the 03-04 system that is turbo back (vs. the 04.5-06 system that is cat back) will the exhaust still bolt up to my downpipe? I know that the 03-04 systems downpipe has a 3.5 inch conector to the turbo vs. the newer having a 4inch...but other than that, is the downpipe the same like in the same location and length? My other option would be buying the 04.5-06 system and just adding the section of pipe needed to fill the gap the cat was in. I just dont know which way would work out the best....Also i guess i could use the extra pipe that the system would come with (since i have a short bed and the system inclueds enough for a long bed) to fill the gap of the cat. I think you'd be better off getting the CORRECT system, and having a piece of pipe welded in place of the kitty.

 

According to silverline's website, the exhaust they offer for the 04.5' and up is turbo back. Here's the linky:

yea i saw that...but on other sites i saw them state turbo back and cat-back for the different systems...and the ones for the 03-04 are more expensive than the ones for the 04.5-06...so im thinking that the ones for the catted trucks are cat back...i dunno..i sent another email out to them and i am awaiting a response. Im just ready to get something figured out so i can get one!

edit: well nevermind..i just downloaded a PDF of their catalogue and it has astrics by both of the exhausts and says for off road use only....welp answered my own question there ...thanks anyways...
