Should I have gotten block sleeved?
as u all know im getting a different block/engine rebuilt and thrown in my truck because i encountered serious damage a while back. anyways engine is together now but when they had the raw block by itself should i have payed the extra $$$ and got it bored out and sleeves pressed back in to restore stock dimensions and to aid in future engine rebuild (in frame)? i guess if all goes right i should be 60 years old by the time i need it rebuilt again. im 30 now lol...

i passsed someone on the highway at 120 km/hour. my egts clibed to 1350 and i melted a piston. whats so bad about that. piston mushroomed and banged on the bottom of my cylinder head. head damaged. i got a block rebuilt and is being dropped into my truck next week. im also getting a fasss system installed for protection. i have 6 new injectors also. all i know is thes ebabys run hot and i dont like it. if my new engine runs hot stock ill park it and get a chevy. i hate chevy but that dmax engine (chipped heavily) barely gets to 1100 egt. my truck STOCK i can see 1500 egt easily empty in town if i gun it for like 5 seconds.well see what this new engine does. only thing being kept same other than my accessories (alt, waterpump, ecu) is manifoold, turbo and cp3.well see.if i still see 1000-1100 egt on highway at 100 km/hour shes bye bye...

lol it is a rebuilt motor.the motor was $13,000 but i only payed $8000 because i got $2000 core for my old engine, and i didnt have to pay $3000 for new injectors since i had some. so $8000. then about $1200 or so for the fass and install, $2500 or so labor for removing old engine and swapping parts over like, alt, ecu, waterpump, new block heater, new coolant etc....and i had a already existing $2500 for them to diagnose what was wrong in the first place.and in canada we get taxed out of our *** so by the time its done id say between $15-$18,000
