Should I get a Smarty?

This is gonna be good... I can already tell...

Afternoon, DTR... Here's my problem.... I have a Hot Edge with an MP-8 stack, love it to death, great power, but it runs a little warm on the EGT side. Been toyin with the idea of getting a smarty, but would it do any good with out a good turbo? I think that my truck is maxed out with the stocker.

Smarty or turbo?

Have some fun with this one...

TIA!!!

Buy it, Stack it, and have fun while you build the piggy bank back up for the turbo!!!!!!!!

I'm running your setup with the SMARTY stacked and needless to say I would rather leave the truck parked if I have to load the stock ecm program!!!!!!!

$600 or ~$1-2K.............................................

I would suggest getting some where or to someone that has a Smarty to try. Once you do that, the Edge will likely be coming off

On the other hand... since you already have electronics, you could get the turbo and save for the other.

my point is that doesn't sound like a good deal... the A3k is non-gated, right?

you should be able to pick up a 62/65/14 gated turbo for around $1k

That's a good question... I don't know. It does not say it in the info area...

More info on the 62? You're talking about an HTT, right?

Your HE351 will love the Smarty!

... and so will you!

There no reason to wait for a Smarty; it'll never wear out, become obsolete or diminish performance over time... and stays fresh as a daisy (or at least as fresh as the latest SW release).
