Between an AFE cold air intake and a good free flow muffler which would be more important? I know both will help lower egt but I'm wondering if one has the edge on the other. Would either help raise mpg or performance or is it strictly egt reduction? Are there any other mods that should be done first that I'm overlooking?

I did my exhaust first because I could not wait to hear the sound of a cummins!!!!!!!!!! I then added performance!!!!

I would say, do both, but if you need to do one first. Do exhaust followed shortly after by gauges, intake etc.
