SHELL ROTELLA T6 question
Time to change oil again and curious on the Shell Rotella
T6 5/40 is it a class 3 or 4 synthetic oil?
Been using Schaffer the last two changes but Rotella is so readily available and seems to be very popular. Anyone's thoughts on this.

I use the rotella and have gone to a 10,000 mile change. Somewhere between the 7500 heavy use and 15,000 light use factory recommended schedule. And fleetguard stratopore filters.

X2 on the Delo 400. For as long as it has been around, not many people know about it. I have seen a Cummins Big Cam...3 I believe... go through an "oil change" which consisted of the new guy draining the Delo, getting distracted and pulling the truck out declaring it finished. The driver brought it back in about 20 minutes with no oil pres. We dropped the pan to asses the damage and the bearings and other components still looked new.
Not to bash rotella, it was always ran in my family's tractors, and by default my first few vehicles. Its good stuff too, but you can get the Delo for cheaper.

Rotella is a very stout fleet lubricant and very popular worldwide (like Delvac and Delo). Rotella T6 is always an easy oil to find on the shelves of local merchants as well. It is a group III blended with Polyalphaolefin (PAO) synthetic base stocks.

Rotella seems to be fine in my truck. Use to run Valvoline Premium Blue, but got to be a hassle finding around me running to 4 or 5 places to find 3 gallons........now i just run to wallyworld and grab 3 gallons of rotella. Now if I could just find fleetguard filters locally id be great.
